Valiant
Cool. it's not a huge job to get an LSD in your car. You'll be glad of it with your new motor.
Evan
it's not a huge job to get an LSD in your car. As far as LSDs go for these, do you know what fits/what car you steal one out of?
cletus
my brother has just been through all that with his VC. as far as i know, VC and earlier use a dana diff rather than a BW, which isnt very strong. my brother ended up fitting a VG diff/lsd etc

RUNAMUCK
You engine makes me smile. But please, please, please paint it a factory mopar colour. Seeing a slant six painted holden orange, or ford blue is like seeing a puppy getting run over by a steam roller. I am very jelly of your AP collection!

Its black, whats wrong with black? makes the oil/water leaks harder to see.
RUNAMUCK
A properly assembled slanter doesn't leak oil. Due to their age now, most of the OG gaskets have given up the ghost.
Valiant
You engine makes me smile. But please, please, please paint it RED and put your triple carb manifold on it for real
64valiant
Engine will be black with all polished bits. As for the tripples they will most definitely be going on. But more or less correctly in the car. Have to try make them work in there yet.
RUNAMUCK
In theory, three carbs off a 2.5 triumph would be bang on for a 225. Then you only have to get your linkages all perfectly sync'd.

Valiant
The teeth on the back of 3ard gear that the sliding sleeve engage with have worn sides and now force the sleeve back into neutral when under load rather than drawing it into gear. I fixed mine years ago by grinding them back to the right way with a Dremel. It's a bit of a bush fix but it was much easier and cheaper than finding a new gear.
