Shaz
This is probably an empty threat because I don't think I will ever grow up.

CUL8R
Curious, use the Vaseline method for primping the pump? Â Have heard of it alot but always thought it were a old wives tale?
Threeonthetree
The vaseline method is probably the best. Because the Holden V8 has its oil pump mounted away from the sump (it has to suck oil uphil), it can't be primed like a Chevrolet V8 using a cordless drill. Many people fill the pump with grease whcih keeps it lubricated during he first startup. But grease does not meix properly once full oil flow has resumed and often causes more problems than it solves by blocking smaller passages. Vaseline on the other hand will lubricate the pump almost as well but will mix with the oil seamlessly.

j.e.d.
Good progress mate, are you gonna paint it the original colour?  Looks like this colour so this is how you should paint it cos this look looks nice....
Threeonthetree
The original colour is actually a mustard like this: Â Â At some point in the 80s it was repainted gold. I'll be taking it back to the original colour with body coloured steel wheels and hubcaps.

Threeonthetree
Cheers. I'll update the pictures as more progress is made. I need to start stripping the Brougham now to make a start on getting that back on the road. Can't wait!
kyteler
^ Not sure about that picture Neal. That lambshit brown doesn't look right in that picture at all, far too glossy and slightly off shade wise. Looking forward to seeing it done though. Good man. I look forward to taking a snooze on your back seat during a future national event.
