nzstato
V8 Belmonts are indeed rare, the 'HQ SS' was a Belmont with a 253 but they never came in that colour. What are the numbers on the tags, be interesting to see what else it was optioned with.

kyteler
Woah, woah, woah... Who owns the FJ ute? That looks coooooooool.
Threeonthetree
That's the oldest registered Holden ute in the country. Numberplate HUMPY Belongs to a wily old bearded bugger who I know through dealing with older Holden stuff. Runs a red six. Can't remember capacity but it has a few upgrades. Threeonthetree
Unlike my HG wagon, this HK is very tidy in the floors and underbody. The first job will be to put it through a warrant and fix the list of failure.

Threeonthetree
I'm off to take a closer look at this Brougham today. I think I'll give it an oil change, replace most of the ignition system, give her some fresh fuel and see if a new battery will get her up and running.
Threeonthetree
Also, I've been wrestling with the thought of selling both my HQs recently. I'm leaning slightly more towards getting rid of them. So if anybody is tentatively interested at this stage, feel free to register interest. cletus
i like your collection. Is the grille on the bro ham modified in some way? looks different to how i remember them
Threeonthetree
No, it's just a bit faded. HG Broughams were the least common and their grille styling always looked a bit incomplete. As though they were missing a badge or emblem in the centre. This Australian registered Brougham shows the factory grille in a bit more detail. My car is very similar to this one as it also has the gold accents across the top of the guards and down the flanks.
Shaz
Oh hi, just stopping in to congratulate you on your Brougham acquisition. I'm stoked for you! These things fucking rule.
63Ragtop
Yeah, very cool. Interesting how the vinyl roof stops short of the actual gutters.
Threeonthetree
Yeah, very cool. Interesting how the vinyl roof stops short of the actual gutters. That's a very observant point you make. The vinyl roof on these is known as an 'island roof' because it's essentially on its own and not connected to the gutters. I'll get more photos up soon but they look really sweet up close: I'm really lucky in that mine still has all of the chrome trim that borders the edge where the vinyl meets the paint. Threeonthetree
This may be moving to a new home soon. Then I shall hopefully get a little bit done on it.
Shaz
Just so you know, I'm probably going to marry your Brougham when I grow up.
