Benno
Next plans are to sort out something for those side covers then paint engine black. I have ordered some super bright cree LED stuff to replace the headlight as it's currently pretty crap. Will make up a rectification/regulation circuit for the LED driver and might convert the rear light at the same time. Will look into pricing up a slim seat for it soon. Been doing a bit of research on expansion chamber design, so that might be on the cards in the future too.
BlownCorona
do NOT convert this to premix. they run oil injection into the crank bearings and if you remove the pump, the bearing will blow. also it will look way too skinny without the side covers/tank paint looks great though
Llama
Let us know how that LED kit gets on, I have been planning to do the same.
Benno
After having such a good time hooning around on my moped I decided I needed a motorbike, so have ended up purchasing a kz440. Unfortunately I don't have the money, time or space to hang onto everything so the blue ma50 is sadly going to have to go to fund the re-rego of the kz. Anyone potentially interested in it?
Korbs
Hey Benno Just came across this super ancient thread, not sure if you're still out there or following this I think you're the only one left alive who's ever worked on one of these things.. I've come across one (what im sure is the only one) in Australia and i'm in the process of restoring, it's probably testing your memory a bit (dunno if you even did this) but i dont suppose you'd know how to get the little generator off the crankshaft? Clutch pullers will rip it to shreds. All of the service manuals in the world for this thing seem to have been burned or sacrified to a goat or something. PS Loving that Escort in your profile pic, i'm working on an old 1200 datto that's very similar.

I managed to find a section of a manual, nothing comprehensive though sorry https://drive.google.com/file/d/10-gfz1VmBIo6W_7HzypVFA3Cf78guO8X/view?usp=sharing Interesting project, you should put up a post on it!
