robs30m Posted July 15, 2013 Author Share Posted July 15, 2013 removed the rest of the bolt on bits and pieces. oil filter and housing, dizzy , oil pressure switch etc. original color was the same as the rocker cover. might try get close to that. second picture shows the engine mounts, beefy! robs30m Posted July 21, 2013 Author Share Posted July 21, 2013 got into it and cleaned and scrubbed the engine block. alot of wire brushing and degreasing ! prepared and then sprayed it. liking it alot. its a heat paint with ceramics added. robs30m Posted July 25, 2013 Author Share Posted July 25, 2013 had a litte trouble remembering how rear shoes fit. lucky I have the pdf msnual. this the correct orientation, picture is of driver side rear. its makes sense now I look at it. stronger spring is at the bottom as its carrying the weight of the shoes. the gap at the leading edge of each shoe allows brake dust to drop off and to the bottom and disperse as the drum rotates.
