robs30m
Heres my 1969 Nissan patrol. I got this this recently from a Gisborne farm shed, off the original owner. 84, 000 genuine miles (hard ones on the farm though) , and no rust throught bar light surface stuff here and there. Has a 4l petrol six mounted to a three speed box. Rego still live! Have already cleaned out the rat shit, farm shit, bird shit etc, and gave the rims a clean and paint. A cut polish remove most of the chalkyness in the paint, but needs more polish! The mechanicals are sound, apart from a seeping brake cylinder and a brake line that snapped. So, opinions?? Love this truck for the fact that all ball joints are able to be dismantled and cleaned, regreased and reassembled. Just dont see that these days. robs30m
had some running issues, stalling etc. Fuel filter was full of sediment! Biffed that, pulled tank and rinsed out the crap in it, refitted. New filter tommo and should be good. Carby is ok, no blockages. Also rear cylinder stopped seeping on drum brake, bonus!. Still need to price rear window.
