Guest snapper
hey, gratulations. you must be feeling well-pleased to have got it back in. how's it feeling after the rebuild?
Guest GuyWithAviators
Sure am, thanks! Yeah pretty good. Dad says he isn't happy with how it's running, suspecting worn valve stem seals. When we got the head done, some old possibly second hand ones were put in. But other than that yeah good

GuyWithAviators
How's this wee car going now?   Pretty good now! Haven't driven it much unfortunately. Fixed the cylinder head and put new valve stem oil seals in. In the process of putting a new Lucas sport coil and new distributor cap/parts on at the moment. Also picking up another complete ado16 for spares tomorrow (3rd one owned and I'm not even 18 yet, what's wrong with me? ) I'll do a proper write up on my build thread tomorrow night
yoeddynz
I keep spotting different ones around Nelson. I have now come to realise that it will only be a matter of time before I end up with one.
GuyWithAviators
I hardly see any down here. I look forward to seeing another one on here! They're very underrated cars imo, haven't got the cult following of the mini but have the same drivetrain, doesn't make sense

Raizer
Thinking about taking the bits I need off, taking the bodys off the subframes then bolting 2 front ones together to make a SWB 4wd go kart thing
GuyWithAviators
<3 Only one goes and the rusty white one is only the rear pillars back, awaiting a motorbike engine to be dropped in the boot and handlebars put in front of the back seat
GuyWithAviators
Don't give me ideas that wouldn't be too hard though, put an automatic one in the back and just leave it in drive

GuyWithAviators
Hey guys, can I get your opinions on something! I'm wanting to put a logo on the side of my car, kind of like a company car but with a logo/company from the 60s or 70s. I think it will look cool and be something different The only problem is I can't find a logo I really like.. I'm leaning towards NAC but I would like other options too  The look I'm going for is something like this: Lada by mdw1968, on Flickr    But with period NZ logos of course. Any ideas/tell me to shut up?
snapper
the commonwealth games symbol is not best served by substituting black for the original blue, nor repurposing for airlines.  I reckon you could do something interesting with the old P&T logo (like on that Thames Trader) though - take the basic shape, stylise it, make your own substitution, and then add an appropriate period font to match the logo, for the business of your invention.  Gallows and son, commedians  comb and razor, gentlemens barbers  Nobend and P'Farty, art dealers (a filthy rich and catflap reference)  etc... GuyWithAviators
I hadn't thought of designing my own one, why didn't I think of that.. This is why I love OS Cheers for that, gentleman's barber sounds good. This gives me something to do in Art class at school tomorrow. Llama
White smoke is typically coolant, which is not good. Is it hard to start if it has been sitting?
