GuyWithAviators
Hmm yeah. I do think I'd need them as a learner. Cheers for the input guys, am on the lookout for cheap mirrors now
SP450andLE
I'm gonna be my hipster self and say the rectangle wing-mounted ones look sweet. That or the small gutter-mount ones, like this, but square/rectangle:
GuyWithAviators
That way of putting them is interesting, haven't seen it before
yoeddynz
Used to be able to get little clip on ones that fitted to rear edge of quater light frame. They were neat. I think bullet mirrors won't suit what is a nice stock looking car.
GuyWithAviators
I'm going down to Invercargill today and I know there are lots of wrecking yards with older cars there. Ill see if any of them have that style still on them. Seems like a good idea because then I don't have to put holes in the body.
felixx
There is a guy in kaiapoi (philspeed on the tard) he sells those little mirrors that clip to your door
GuyWithAviators
Went and had a look at Butlers today and tried a few of their ones on to see what they'd be like. Tried a clip on one and it wasn't ideal, the quarter light window frame kept getting in the way. We decided a guard mounted one will be best, has the most visibility, a large rectangle one that's sort of far away from the body. Need to go to other shops like you said or look on tm again
BlownCorona
thoroughly impressed with your skill and motivation as a 15 yearold. when i was your age i was destroying an ae80 corolla unfortunately, keep it up.
snapper
contrary to everyone else's view, I think the bullets will be okay. not so much use on the guards - they're rather small - but on the doors, okay. It was de riguer back in the 70's to run the bullets. yes, +1 keep up the great work. when I was 15 it was working on my mate's VW's, or my sister's HC Viva.
