kyteler
You do realise it looks more like a VB than a VL, right?
flyingbrick
Look I don't have time for this he says she says Crap. The most important thing to remember is that you are right and I have no idea what I'm talking about
kyteler
If you were to make it into a little VL, that would be hilarious.. I say do it.
flyingbrick
Haha. Once these quad round lights turn up and get fitted it won't look anything like any holden. If I don't post a pic with the new lights it is because they looked more shit than expected. Also- a HUGE thank you to Threeonthetree from here in OS. He collected the v8 for me so that I could collect from him yesterday- massive coincidence that he is a walking encyclopaedia of holden v8 knowledge. Thanks dude!! Threeonthetree
Thank YOU for delivering the makings of my coffee table. No longer shall I place my mugs on the floor. Also, wheels look really suit the car. Are you going to paint the non-raised parts black?
flyingbrick
Inset bits will be painted gold to match the gold pinstripe on the side of the car ( it will be made larger during the respray) Have you seen the v8 coffee table on TM? Ugly heavy iron block but good use of pistons to support glass.
EURON8
Firstly, put a link to this discussion in the first post of the build thread, far easier to abuse you that way, Secondly, (and this one is based on my own opinion) you seriously removed the sweet recessed headlights and replaced them with yuck ones? Thirdly, 195/45/14. Hankooks can be had cheap How wide are those rims?
flyingbrick
6 and 7" wide. I want 225 on back, have 205 on front. I like abundant amounts of tire for no reason other than that's what I like. If I could fit more wheel and tire back there than I would!! I think 245 may fit if I roll my guards some more. In my opinion it's fuckin stupid because its like 20hp..... But it still looks stauch right now anyway! New wheels will be 8" rear and 7" front with probably the same widths of tire. I'm feeling great about things at the moment- everything is falling into place. I HATED the recessed lights more than a fat kid hates running. kseries.rookie
Props on the twin head light! Looks tough.
flyingbrick
Thanks bro! Needs to have the bumper moved back heaps. I like it
Roman
Twin headlights look good! As do the fat tires. Deepdish and stretched tires is done to death and doesnt suit every type of car.
flyingbrick
Cheers David! Agree There will be less bulge with the new wheels- an inch larger in width and dia so will be more flush all round. Plus changing front hubs and disks push front wheels out 10mm I'm actually surprised how much space in the guards these cars have!! I'm farkin busy at work- sucks because I was hoping to have time for car stuff Oh and! The wife says I can order some cool stuff for the car this month as my birthdays coming up. Roman
Already at the stage where your wife 'lets' you do stuff? Congrats on settling into marriage so well Based on pics I reckon ditch the mudflaps, but as you say who knows whats lurking behind there rust wise!
