AllTorque
It amazes me how many things I can fix on this car with WD40. When I first got the wag the tailgate window didn't work. Sprayed the plug and switch with WD40, fixed. The quarter light window stopped moving, sprayed WD40 on the mechanism, fixed. The rear door poppers wouldn't open the doors last week. WD40'd the latches, left it for a day, doors pop open again. Moral of the story? A little bit of lube goes a long way. AllTorque
I called him and he said the trans worked sweet when he drove his trans am in to the shed 3 years ago and I must have done something to wreck it. I then explained that I am a mechanic and do know what I am doing. I really don't think there is much I can do about it. Just need to move on and concentrate on getting the wagon going for hawkes boes in a week.
Goat
Thats balls man. After it being rolling on the weekend too. Can you do an emergency clutch pack swap from your old sweet (but cracked) auto?

Liam-B
That is pretty stink. The joys of second hand parts. Maybe just rebuild the transmission and make the best of the 2 you have.
Goat
Only problem is that he has 7 (9 counting weekend) to get this rolling for hawkes boes. Piece together one from the two to get to hawkes boes and back. Then get propper rebuild?

AllTorque
Thats balls man. After it being rolling on the weekend too. Can you do an emergency clutch pack swap from your old sweet (but cracked) auto? That is pretty stink. The joys of second hand parts. Maybe just rebuild the transmission and make the best of the 2 you have. The wheels are already in motion (not literally). I took the old cracked trans to the trans man at afternoon smoko and he whipped it apart. He said the clutches were all good. Tonight after work I pulled out the new shagged trans (in 90 mins) and I'll drop that to him tomorrow.
