1976 Mazda 121 Ma turbo (efi at least)

Almost got there today amongst family duties, in a bit of a rush as I go to melbs for 12 days on Wed, drive me nuts if I don't get it going before then.. She's all together, got a small coolant leak from the water temp sensor which I have to sort.. Pump is in, can't prime it tho as I ran out of hose clamps.. :scratch:

Well it runs.. But I have to throw gas down the tb. It almost ran by itself... kind of. Master fuel is set to 128 from factory but the only time it even looked like running was when I wound it right out to 255 (max) and it sort of sputtered along then died when I touched the throttle.. It says the injectors are running, and the fuel pump is going but no runny run.. I'm out of time tho, "have" to go on holiday and enjoy myself.. 

Gonna have to check fuel pressure when I get back, injectors haven't been used for 18 years so I'm wondering if they're stuck.. anyone in chch have experience with link g1's

Got a small issue.. Over 1500rpm she's pretty smooth and the pump is quiet but when I drop too idle about 700rpm the pump gets noisy and does a slow pulse.. like its sucking air then fuel, the idle also gets rough then smooth corresponding with the pump.. Any ideas? For some reason my temp sensor is also giving me strange readings.. 34 and falling or 96 and rising..

Thinking about it I reckon it's vapour lock at the feed end of the pump.. When the engine stops using fuel at idle and running fuel through the pump (which gets quite hot) I think it vaporises then pump overcomes it and sucks some more etc etc..

Think I could've found the problem...

Ordered a turbosmart fpr800.. See how it goes. Still have to figure out the strange water temp readings and I also think I'm pulling to much amperage through the main relay as it sticks on when I run the car, have to pull the main feed off to turn it off..

Gave it a rinse out with detergent and plenty of water, the half a litre of meths to get all the water out, let it sit in the sun for everything to evaporate while I had a beer..

Still a bit of the white oxide around but I'm not so worried about that, hopefully now I can have some trouble free motoring instead of stopping (sometimes every 5 km) to try and get rid of a blockage..

Some encouraging news, after my last outing I was too paranoid to drive it to the Christmas meet. Took it out this arvo for a spin round the block and it seems to be going good. Did have a massive flat spot of idle but I fiddled with some of the settings regarding low rev accel and injector wake and it looks to mostly have disappeared. Fuck does it go better than the carb, doesn't run out of puff at 4k like it did and actually pulled way harder than I was expecting, had to back off the gas as it just kept going.. Good Times.  Just have to tidy up the plumbing for the fuel pump at the back and get myself an air filter (and a wideband) I also need to sort a fan but I think I'm just gonna get a viscous hub of an fe that way it'll flow more air and I won't have to worry about wiring up a fan and overloading my alternator, then she should be good to go.. 

Speaking of wide band, not really sure which one to get. Was looking at this one

But I guess I should let the link do all the boat cut etc since all the functions are the and just use it solely for tuning in which case I should just get this one,
