Popular Post HumberSS Posted June 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 18, 2024 I've just brought a CNC plasma, just working through first cuts now and learning how to drive it, but open to doing small jobs once I've got it dialled in. Some 0.9mm ss304 cutting I've done today.. 18 2 Quote
Popular Post 440bbm Posted June 18, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 18, 2024 Bought some tyres for Mildred, and came on rims. Bonus being the centres were bolt in, and the stock rims aren't. So instead of paying for a tyre guy to swap them over which gets spendy for small tractor tyres, and high chance of them muppets damaging them as not brand new/soft.. Decided to get new centres made with the correct c/bore and bolt pattern. JP Marshall in the tron, drew and cut them for cheap and super fast time. 13 Quote
BiTurbo228 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 @Spencer Can you remember how you got those MX5 bellhousing measurements? I'm drawing up a Triumph I6 to MX5 gearbox plate and I've got another set of measurements from that bellhousing gasket thing they have, and was wondering which was more likely to be accurate. No worries if it's too long ago to remember. Quote

Basically need to double check everything against real stuff you have, buyer beware etc. 1 Quote
BiTurbo228 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Ah gotcha. I was wondering because I found an old thread from back in the glory days/wild west internet of a chap who had stuck his MX5 gearbox on a faro arm, but the link to the file is dead. Was wondering if someone had squirreled that file away somewhere and it had resurfaced here. I'll check the measurements though. Better safe than sorry! Quote

VitesseEFI Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Errrm….. drawing….. yeah….. I’m from the “hack-at-it-until-fits (or bust beyond redemption) as school. TBH, the approach here so far has been to hack off the MX5 bell and attach something else so the flange dimensions haven’t be relevant. I do have an uncut box here though if you need particular dimensions. 1 Quote
BiTurbo228 Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Thanks for the offer, but I've got one sitting in my garage myself I can check the measurements against. Just trying to be lazy and see if anyone else has done it already! Quote
