kicker
Thought I'd start a thread for my bicycles, getting Summit fever again Here's the bike I took to Summit last year Have made a few changes since then, bars, grips, stem, seat, chain guard, tyres and lights As it is now Hope to have a new steed for 2012 These arrived today, rear is a 2 speed, kick change coaster brake hub Will lace them up to these this weekend Have bought some steel for the frame and will be using the BB and headtube off this 'Full Aluminium Frame'
Bombsquad
Awesome bike, But, I really dislike the double bottom bracket ( i do realize this would be cunty to remove) also what are the wide rims youve got?
kicker
Awesome bike, But, I really dislike the double bottom bracket ( i do realize this would be cunty to remove) also what are the wide rims youve got? Yeah, it was originally used to align the front and rear of the bike and was left there because it would have been a pain to do properly. I don't like it either, everything else is sweet now so I might try and change it this winter. Rims are fat shebas, supposed to be used for riding on snow and sand lol
KIRK
thats men as. how much did that 2 speed hub cost? I want one
Guest
You have excellent taste! The S2C's are an awesome piece of kit. What sort of BB/cranks/chainwheel are you planning on using? Also, how are you going to modify the seat stays to get them wide enough to accomodate that huge tyre? This will possibly be the heaviest bike known to man when you're finished
kicker
Sweet, good to hear that about the hub. I'm just using some spare mtb cranks I have, these in fact Frame is going to be scratch built and yes it will be fucking heavy haha, quite possibly hideously ugly too. At least my hubs will look nice
anglia4
Is that a special tire or just a standard mtb tire with some stretch?
kicker
That's just a 2.5 mtb, still unsure on what tyres I want, I tried the quick bricks on them but they look way better on the other bike.
Guest
This is crying out for some Jerald Sulky Slicks. Come in 26" which I assume is what the Sheba is? Come in plain black too. Good for epic wheelies too.
kicker
Haven't seen those tyres before, looks like it could be tricky getting hold of some. Some of the Schwalbe tyres like the Crazy Bob's and Fat Frank's look ok too Laced the rims up last night

Oh and Kirk, I got this hub off ebay as I couldn't find one in NZ but they seem to go for nz$130+ when they are available
