UTERUS
Kart tyres on, took so fucking long to do, hate hate hate. Also $tephen donated some pipe, so I very badly tigged me up a new exhaust. I'll have to re make the flange as the flattened piece of pipe wasn't floating my boat.
Ned
Did you put the tires on the old wheel or did you redo the wheels as well? My rear wheel is fucked so if you have a spare, I would like to offer you some hand shandies for it How does the exhaust go on it? Why not do what all the race motors do and just run a fairly short pipe?
Yowzer
Longer pipe keeps the airflow up to help drag the exhaust out faster to prevent burning out the exhaust valves when you run too much fuel from drilling out the jet a bit more than it needed IIRC
Ned
Ok, because this is the kinda thing that the Americans run on their motors; http://gokartsusa.com/Honda-GX160-GX200 ... eader.aspx
KIRK
Longer pipe keeps the airflow up to help drag the exhaust out faster to prevent burning out the exhaust valves when you run too much fuel from drilling out the jet a bit more than it needed IIRC does this actualy happen? i thought the short exhaust = burnt valve was an american internet myth. And wouldn't it be more likely to happen when running over lean than over rich?? ie when you remove the exhaust without making richerer
JoKer
same as a car needs one for power, avenger is running extractors only currently and power loss is noticeable (broke off rest on gravel)
UTERUS
Yowzer knows wassup, these motors love to destroy exhaust valves when running short exhausts, it was blue flame city under throttle with the old one. Should get more power too. Also, copper is badass and more = better. Ned, I used the rims I already had, I'd love to find another pair of alloy wheels though. UTERUS
Dug this out from under the bench to fit my new cam! Â This was after cleaning most of the sludge out, it smelt like castor oil and methanol which was pleasant. Â Â Â Â Â My new lumpy bro stick. Â Â Â Â It is definitely not grumpy, just an improvement over stock for mainly more mid range and makes good power to 5500rpm. Â Â Â Still running methanol with a mystery jet, did a plug chop and got a nice colour so all it got was a tickle up in the idle mix and went cackling around the hood. Goes real good, although it could really do with a new clutch now.
UTERUS
Oh yea if a mod could move this to two wheels, that would be neat. Â Â Â Â OH YEA, DISREGARD STOCK TIMING RECOMMENDATION, STILL GOT 8 DEGREES OVER STOCK WOOOOOOOOOO. I still wonder when the flywheel is going to come apart.

flyingbrick
It probably needs a stretched rear end with that motor!
DodgySam
I just told him to wear Heelys shoes when riding it and be a human wheelie bar. Â
Steelies
could you get any cooler than an actual wheelie bar though?
Yowzer
A wheelie bar with a titanium skid plate instead Of wheels
