BlownCorona
it reverts back to a photo lol  judging by the link name though it looks to be about another bosch ignitor wiring or something and then just loops back to the megasquirt picture

downtrail
Id go 24 teeth for better resolution. Remember thats at cam speed so its really only 6 teeth. we make them 24 tooth and have 2 missing teeth 180deg apart when I do an rb and replace the factory trigger wheel. set it up as crank speed 12-
downtrail
Just make it from mild steel and paint it. You can do stainless but it needs to be a certain type And ive forgotten what grade.
BlownCorona
Won't that many teeth cause issues with the sensor since the wheel is so small?
downtrail
Check your data sheet for minimum gaps Widths etc. The gap and tooth dont have to be the same. The tooth can be say 3mm wide and the gap 10mm to get the dimensions you need.
BlownCorona
That's what I did with they second wheel, I've got the most teeth i can fit in the given space. Funnily enough the teeth are in fact 3mm and the gap 10mm
downtrail
ha  oh well see how it goes I guess can't really make them any smaller.
BlownCorona
im relatively confident, the fact that its not overly high revving works in its favor. havnt got much to loose if it doesn't work, id just have to rethink the trigger placement to the front of the engine and make up some sort of bracket that would look quite ugly but well see if it even gets to that point.  it ran pretty well with just 4 trigger points last time. and that other datsun runs well with the motorbike sprocket.

BlownCorona
im not 100% sure what model corona that is. but ive never seen that tail option at any rate!  i have wanted to fit LEDs to my tails for quite some time after seeing some of the results they get in japan, but im scared of fucking it up completely and it looking like a botched home job
Ash Kelly barr
If you lens come off easily you could make new backing plate from thin ply and fibre glass to mount the LEDs to, then if you don't like it you can just swap your org backing with lamp holders back in
