Valiant
Seen these Glen? Member on here too http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 689543.htm Good that you have a working heater too, I thought about donating mine but decided to keep it and refit it. Where does 105RE live? I'd be keen to see his car.

felixx
Did something really cool in the old girl today. Put the wee fella's car seat in the back of theAnglia and we went for adventures to mitre 10, repco, the park and his grandparents. I dunno who had more fun, you or me! ProZac
Can I take part in the guessing game concerning your modifications? Or do I have too much of an unfair advantage? .
Beaver
some fandangled blue switch, a 12v socket and some new battery terminals?
felixx
^ you win!!! Next time you are in christchurch, I will buy you a beer
felixx
The Shiny new battery terminal is an isolator that will hopefully stop any more fires occuring under the bonnet when she is sleeping. The blue switch replaces the old heater switch, the old one was "iffy" And the 12v socket.. well any 1960's car needs navman and cell phone charging. (tis OK, the 12V socket is fused)

KKtrips
You look like you should have a pair of stubbies on and drinking a can of Joseph Kuhtze Lager Also do you have disc or drum front? If you have drum you should buy them Consol 315 front struts from that Anglia Van in Whakatane and chuck em in - I believe they fit better than the Escort/Cortina ones.. not 100% sure what it is that makes them better but apparantly they is.. felixx
Hi Ktrips Drums ATM. Thought I would keep it original spec until i have painted it etc. Do all my cert stuff in one hit. Cheers for the heads up, but as she is only 997cc drums are ample LOL
KKtrips
You won't need to cert it for the discs - they'll be bolt on and I'm sure your friendly WOF man won't give a shit. PS - 315 Consul brakes are extremely hard to come by..

camo_78
hey boss, id start by getting the tyres popped off the beads on your widened wheels, there may be loose rust under where the bead seats, hell ive seen new chrome lift and cause air leaks round the bead.id clean them up with a wire wheel or something similar then a good coat of anti corrosion shyte should sort you out otherwise i believe there is a glue type stuff that you spread around the bead then pump tyre up to pop the beads back on and it seals it up nicely
felixx
Hi Camo, Cheers for that. I knew I would have to pop the tyres off. The wheels have some corrosion on them so need to be blasted and painted/ powder coated.
Horse25
Nice steels, what are they widened to 6.5"? i got a set done, 7.5 and 7, photo is of the 7.5 was $25 each wheel for sand blasting and the same for powdering coating, you should do that!
