jakesae101
this is my mates Anglia.. Admittedly its a race car but still you can get your car close to this low without being retarded and it would be more worthy of praise than when Jesus fed 10,000 people with a fish and a loaf of tip-top.. feel a bit ashamed to have my race car project in the same lockup as his race car so his is so clean mine not so much still however mine has a going engine
felixx
Hi guys thanks for all the feedback. Spoke to Butlers about the tie rod ends $45 each or so, thought that was pretty good. Cheers for the tips about the bushes. Enford have rubber ones for $5 each or $60 for a set of 8 nolathane ones. I will just get the rubber ones for now I think,Although I will happily trade your nolythane ones for beer Dan

felixx
Love the car but she is definitely an english car.. left the car sitting for 2 weeks, came out to start her yesterday. Flat Battery (the battery IS fucked) Put Battery on charge.. 4 hours later it started fine. Backed her out of the garage to begin garage revamp, brake pedal to the floor.. no brakes (master cylinder is full) Car was warmed up running sweet, went inside to pour a coke, came out car had stopped (within the last 2 minutes, but ofcourse ignition was on) Restarted car, idling rough, like it has a miss. Tried to pull each plug lead (one at a time) but no joy finding the missing cylinder Put it in the garage, pulled each plug, all seemed ok, replaced them, car ran exactly the same. Went to start her today to get her out of garage... would not start. As far as the brakes go.. I think i will replace ALL ot the wheel cylinders. I will def do the front shoes and maybe the back ones too. Master Cylinder is new As far as the engine, when it stalled and ignition left on, have I fucked a) the coil the points c) the condensor d) all of the above *Should this post be in the tech thread? Cheers, Felixx

Beaver
leaving ignitino on shouldnt have damaged anything. it will likely be something simple like shit in the fuel lines or something.
Unclejake
^ Not quite true, but 2 minutes is probably OK and given the car started again it seems even less likely the coil has fried. If you leave the ignition on for an extended period of time and the points are closed the coil will be damaged Beaver. Felix, I think you need a new battery and then check for spark by watching a plug electrode when the engine is cranking
