Beaver
I imagine they/anyone would pussy out and not go as wide as possible incase you complain about it rubbing etc?
crustywhip
I stopped in and asked what the legal mumbo jumbo was with running widened steels. They said the whole car would need to be certified not just the wheels. Just some food for thought for those like me who are heading that way
Beaver
legally, thats correct. realistically, its a load of bullshit. ive personally got wofs with widened steels and know of others who have as well. just make sure you clean up the welds and make them look nice. or just swap wheels out for wofs. and may as well put uncut springs in at the same time etc lol. kicker
As Beaver posted at the start widening costs $80+gst per rim and also moving centres costs $30 or $35 + gst (I can't remember which ha), turn around is going to be a couple weeks.
