Compressor looks mean! I just air back up at the nearest gassy.. 20psi is about as low as I go with no tubes/beadlocks so is ok on the road for short distances.

As for the deflators I wouldn't leave them on tbh, just chuck em on, talk bullshit for 2mins and pull them off again... save getting them full of shit not that it looks like much would get in I don't think they are especially designed to leave on.

There would have been 6 or 7 trucks although we lost one early on with a blown g/box... seemed like heaps of trucks though... may have just been all the time spent pulling me out of holes lol.

Are you in a 4wd club?

It's cheaper to go into Woodhill if your truck is decent and you are in a club (safety patrol)

Nope not in a club, me and another surf and double cab hilux just go play any where. we have been to woodhill a few times, its good knowing there are other trucks apart from us around though in case! Been to the bombing range out at muriwai 2 or 3 times, gone up thompsons track, gone up wires road in coromandel a few times. bit more fun/dangerous though coz theyre natural tracks and in the middle of nowhere lol. been in some pretty hairy situations!

woodhill was $55 last time i went. its good fun though,

Next time we go there or any where will see if any one else wants to come?

I recommend joining a club.

You can go way more places, and will always be in the loop re law changes etc.

My brother is the Vice President of Norwest OHV Club, and my whole family have been members since it was started.

There are members ranging from young to old, and we're a relatively friendly bunch of buggers

PM if you wanna know more about it

  • 2 weeks later...

picked myself up some 33/12.5/15 muddies today...just need some wider rims

think a 15x8 would handle a 12.5?? or 10" minimum??

and ive bought the surf off my mate...

so if anyone is keen on it let me know...he was gonna trade it in but the offered him gay money so i offered just over gay money..
