Simon
Yeah but I think I could do it cheaper myself. Boss just bought a roller set like this but older: And have 150t press that can do this for making ends / bottom for well. But the point I think you were pointing was don't buy one from a "slam specialist" lol Do not want.
Simon
This place seems to be the cheapest from what I have found and have the most products advertised. http://www.newmaticsinc.com Nice little OS gauges (compared to the heaps of white faced green LED ones)

hood
I'd talk to 4LQQKS or TUF720 off the http://www.minitruckin.co.nz forums. Both of them bring a bit of gear in, know the right places to deal with, and don't charge shop prices. Yeah I would but I joined the forum about a month ago to ask some questions and got banned and my account deleted after 2 days. I hadn't even made any posts and did nothing wrong. I emailed the forum admin and got ignored.. I'm part of the admin over at MTNZ. I apologise for what took place in regards to your account, personallly it was not me that deleted your account but one of the boys obviously has mistaken your username as spam. Hate to admit it but your user name does sound dodgy. Any way we are a friendly bunch, so I welcome you back. Please fire away with any questions you may have. Cheers James. Now back to the related questions

pusherman
how hard is it to airbag a escort? does the macpherson strut front make it any different to normal set ups? has any body done it?
Spencer
The front shouldnt be to hard, there are hollow bags designed for struts, you would want to size the strut length just right to give the desired amount of slam. The rear is the harder part, with leaves you can either 4 link it (the nice way to go) or use a bag over leaf system (which are pretty average at best). Im sure someone will chime in with some more info, but have a quick google on macpherson strut bag setups, 4 link setups, and bag over leaf you will find plenty of info
di0n
Just found these valves? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Water-Air-Ga ... 1074wt_689 Would they do the trick? I can't see how they are any different to these http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-par ... 657696.htm
BIG A
how hard is it to airbag a escort? does the macpherson strut front make it any different to normal set ups? has any body done it? I am bagging my celica and have had my front struts sorted but it can be difficult if you dont have a certain size strut as they do make them for modern cars but they can sort something out to fit. As for the rear four link is the best way to go but really you will have to ask yourself am I willing to spend that sort of money on bagging an escort? EURON8
but really you will have to ask yourself why hasnt ths been done before? No idea. Sounds amazing. Would need to ''lay frame'' to be worth while
EURON8
Ok, this i reckon is the best thread for my question. Without starting a new one. Anybody know off hand any SMALL modern cars with double wishbone front end? For the front end of the humber.

Nominal
So, has anyone stepped up and completed an airbag system lately. I'm giving it serious consideration for the big Merc. The existing leaf springs are shagged (and sagged). Travelling to/from the Beach Hop with 4 on board and a boot full of women's clothes the springs are reverse-arched and the rear bumper is seriously low. Since fixing that will cost some $ anyway, converting to bags is an option, then I could deal with the front as well. The biggest issue is the rear suspension - bag on leaf doesn't look like a good option, so some form of triangulated 4-link (or 3-link) looks like being necessary. I can engineer this myself. On the plus side, I have a York AC compressor and appropriate factory engine mount kicking around already. Since some of the links in the thread are now old, are there any current recommendations for NZ suppliers of valves etc? This pic is from a couple of years back, worse now with the new bellflower pipes below the rear quarters.

JasonK
I've not long ago finished bagging my hearse, I got a lot of my stuff from a mate locally who imports parts to sell. York pumps are definitely the go.

RUNAMUCK
John runs one on his Cedric of Fuck yea boi-ness. He has beautiful CNC machined brackets holding the sensor thingee's onto his upper arms. Maybe ask him about it?
MRWEST
bagging the 64 have all the gear just havent got the car back to do! Mates 37 is running bags and is a sweet little set up just 3/8 line nice and slow but does the trick for rolling low but at a nice height when your loaded or on the open road. Have been doing a bit of looking into levelling systems of late. Looks like the Accuair E-Level is the go, bit of cash but pretty fool proof and works on heights/adjusts with load and while driving. Ill be getting a kit for the impala when i get a bit closer. Simon at AirrideNZ sells all the bits youll need.
