Testament
just out of interest do any of you toyota people know if a lexus v8 will bolt to Aisin A440F/A442F/A450-43LE transmissions used in landcruisers and the like in the early '90s? Spencer
What you want to use is a 340H or a340F 4wd box out of a surf etc, they are tough as shit and a 1UZ bell will bolt straight on
Spencer
Storngest option is probably a mk4 supra box, modified to go onto a 4wd transfer case. Wayne is the expert on this shit
Testament
so I take it then the answer is there is no factory bellhousing that will go A4XX to UZ?
Spencer
Not that I know of... From above the 2uz is the only UZ series engine to come out factory in a cruiser and it came out in 1998 by then the A44x series of boxes were no longer used. As you can see above it used a A340
Testament
Yeah I had gathered that already, was thinking more if one of the other engines used infront of an A4XX may have the same bolt pattern as a UZ.
Spencer
Wouldnt count on it. I did have a google for you found a dude running a 2uz in a a440'd cruiser. He had used an adapter plate so its do-able I'm just unsure if there is a factory option
eke_zetec_RWD
i think jap spec ambos were standard 1uz 4x4 auto. . . . . is a 2uz like a big bore 1uz? i used a 4x4 landcruiser sump and pan on a old cruiser i put a 1uz into, kicks everything to one side to allow for front driveshaft and diff clearence.
