Fucking love this thing. Have wanted it for last 5 or so years and dude who had it finally said he was going to get rid of it due to f all use.

1990, 89000miles. Factory bar wee poddy and rear shelf which has some mint old magnat speakers which for circa '86 they go amazing.

1.4 turbo for those that don't know, 0-100 in 7.2 factory or something. No power steering, actually handles really well for a wee hatch.

Anyway it's suprisingly quick. And top speed is over 200. I ran out of balls before the car ran out of guts.

Plans are to keep it under cover and keep it clean. I'll use it every few months when I am back home. Clutch disengaes a bit dodgy, think it's something to do with hydraulics. Going to get some decent speakers for front doors to be run off amp. Has a suprisingly good sony mp3 headdy. Not usually a fan of sony stuff, but this came with the car and goes good for what it is so it's going to stay for now. If I can get some suspension cheap off trademe one day I will, but ideally want to keep this stock.

Even have factory airbox and rear shelf which is cool if you like that kind of thing. Body is tidy as you would expect for something that's been in the garage most of it's life, not rust or anything which I hear these things are prone too.

Anyway, here are a few pics. I'll post a vid of it boosting next time I am home. What you chaps rekon?

Best car on here, sell to me please.

Seriously, a great little car a well sorted one will carve up most rice rockets 8)

No

I plan to keep it for a very long time.

Yeah, have heard these are pretty quick with some simple mods, and motors seem to be pretty strong going by what I have read online. Really willing wee thing, it suprised me over and over again when I took it over to the west coast, just so well sorted for a small car of it's era.

There's a guy locally who takes his modified one of these onto the strip and quite regularly defeats other cars, much to their shock and dismay. Generally when it rolls to the line you hear the disgust from the crowd, unaware of it's capabilities, then the light goes green and they change their mind

Yours is a hell of a lot tidier than his, mind you.

Very nice car though man, look after it!

they go very well, although the stock injection holds you up from upping the boost too much.

But first thing you MUST DO

GO buy 4 cans of fish oil and spray the crap out of it. take up carpets etc. get underneath spray inside chassis rails just everywhere spray that shit.

will get a bit sticky in places after as you will get overspray and it requires a bit of elbow grease to polish off but its waaaaaay worth it in terms of stopping rust. repeat a couple of times a year and it should stay pretty well mint.
