anglia4
Now I have a go and a stop pedal. Just the clutch to go. So cool finally getting to make some of the custom parts I've been dreaming up and designing for this thing.
anglia4
And then there were 3! Finally I can stop drilling all those fucking holes.
Popular Post anglia4
I wasn't going to post this up until I had completely finished it but I thought some people might have some ideas or spot things I've missed so here goes. I've been chipping away at this design for a very long time now. Every time I start making progress I hit a road block or change my mind and lose interest for a while again. But lately I've hit the downhill slope and have started making real headway with it. Everything you see here is largely finalised except for the steering rack, steering arm, and the finer geometry details of the rising rate setup. I'm pushing fairly hard on it at the moment so I can start the process again for the rear, then send it to the LVVTA guys for approval and get on with building! Anyway, let me know what you think!
anglia4
It was my wife's cousin's child's first birthday party during the weekend up in Auckland so naturally I got some pressies I scored the Kumho semi-slicks from trademe and when I picked them up, it turned out to be from Shaneo. Cheers mate! Earlier in the day I decided it was a good opportunity to break my Zebra virginity while we were in the big city. So I picked a whole rear end from an R33 skyline, two sets of seat rails, 2 bonnet catches and a throttle body. I'll mod the seat rails to fit my bucket seats, and because they are fixed back, I'm going to hinge the front and mod the bonnet catches to latch the back of the seats down. Having the rear end will be great as now I have somewhere to start with my design for the back of the car, and one step closer to that TAC approval. The throttle body is for a side project, its a nice clean looking unit that seems very easy to get more of, so somewhere between 2 & four of them might find their way onto some kind of wild inlet manifold design that my brain is generating for the Mustang. EDIT: after asking the difference between an R180 & 200 in the tech thread before I left, I forgot to take my torch, couldn't tell when I was there, and still don't know what I've come home with...
anglia4
I've made a start on mounting the seats. It's a start! Also scored this bad boy Needs a bit of maintenance but should be handy
anglia4
Bit more progress on the seat mount. Made the box part of the pedal box too.
anglia4
Priorities have changed and I haven't done any actual work on this car in about 5 years. I'm pretty gutted to be giving up, but its time to move on and focus on the sentimental value in my Austin 7. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/ford/listing/3252597986?bof=98DljKIj 2
