Mr dori Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Im replacing the waterpump off my daily but i cant figure out how to remove old pully, Ive sussed a 2nd hand water pump and that didnt have a pully heres some pics New pump minus pully Old pump Old pump the main drive for the pump is the shaft that is sticking out in first pic, i cant see any way that they have attached the pully onto that shaft, Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You put on two nuts and then undo the bottom one, as it presses against the top one it will start undoing the threaded bolt from the pulley. More so that the pulley is on evenly and it can push the shaft/pump down and straight off the pulley wheel as opposed to on a slight angle which would cause a binding issue.
