esky 73 Posted July 26, 2008 Author Posted July 26, 2008 started today, made a good bit of progress was a square headlight car, no rust behind the twin light plates, i should be able to get the intercooler behind the factory grill which is a bonus all redy to weld up, just sat everything on to have a look, and iam happy i changed the front, looks way better!! esky 73 Posted July 27, 2008 Author Posted July 27, 2008 big day today, got the front all welded up, i had to cut the front into two bits between the slots, must be slight differences between cars, hardly any distorsion from welding so stoked about that! decided to replace the top support panel as well, made the grill fit better and looked a bit more stock here we are all welded and the best bit is the cooler is behind the grill, looks about 300 times better i reckon, will have to take front pulley off motor and machine off two lots of grooves and this will give me another 65mm, and a added bonus of the cooler piping gettin shorter Quote
esky 73 Posted August 2, 2008 Author Posted August 2, 2008 finished off the front today, quick skim of bog, bit of a sand and all good! smoothed and primed, off to paint shop next week headlights all fitted up, had to make new backing plates, bit of dicking about getting them central in the grill Quote
esky 73 Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 just tokk it out for a skid to check it out, everything seems good! still does mean doughys!! Quote
