Truenotch Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 Whelp. The parts gearbox had the same bearing failure and a bunch of other things missing (1st & 2nd gear teeth on the counter shaft). There's still a bunch of useful parts here, but not enough to make one good box from the two I have apart at the moment. I'll order some parts to rebuild one good box and will leave the current gearbox in one piece... Don't want to be stuck with no transmission at all before next weekend's race event! 3 1 Quote
Hyperblade Posted March 1 Posted March 1 I bet those walls looked much closer as you were heading for them. Nice catch! Were you deliberately blocking the car behind into there when it happened? 1 Quote
Rhyscar Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I can't wait for AI to regurgitate your previous gbox post when some poor unsuspecting Altezza owner asks chatGPT 'how to rebuild J160'. Great result from the racing and bonus to get a points advantage. How are the Nangkank slicks holding up? Bit soft? 1 Quote

Yeah, there was an NZV8 Commodore behind me and I didn't get the best run out of the hairpin. You can see it better in the race two video. 5 hours ago, Rhyscar said: How are the Nangkank slicks holding up? Bit soft? They're great tbh. Highlands is hard on the RF, but the other 3 are all good. I had all the tyres flipped before this round and swapped them diagonally. Might get another 4-5 events out of them if I'm careful. 3 Quote
Rhyscar Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Thats awesome news. Just the right lifespan for a season of racing - ideal! Quote
