I snaffled a twin pipe rear exhaust section from a v8/v10 BMW for $20 or something which has some pipework and two rear boxes. I'll probably lay it out the same as the previous setup, two boxes side by side and then out. At least with the V band it will be easier to drop it out and try something else if it does not work.. 2 Quote

BiTurbo228 Posted September 2 Posted September 2 My X1/9 was a hoot with the Uno Turbo engine, even at only 1 bar and 130hp (if that, it had a fair bit of blowby). Definitely felt like the power the car should have come with. Yours should be around that as standard too shouldn't it? Quote
ThePog Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Dont know exactly, but it should be around 100kw standard and a bit more with the throttle bodies and exhaust. The old engine was pretty stout, maybe 130hp and yea thats plenty fun, so this should be a hoot. 3 Quote
BiTurbo228 Posted September 3 Posted September 3 If it's one of those bead rollers like I've got then they benefit from some reinforcement. Even with this it spreads apart when trying to run a bead on anything thicker than 0.9mm. it does work, just a pain. I need to make some bolt-in braces at different positions along the jaws to beef that up a bit. 2 Quote
