Gone-burgers - too much potential pain to fix the rust and I realised it's never going to have the character of the original without SO much more work - Plus I don't have the room to store it or the time to do it.. V8 conversion on the Commy ahoy!

Just blame me. I was there to help the engine swap where I promptly discovered how fucked the white one was. One particular spot on the front guard was made of that newtech shit. The metal had been cut out and they'd just let the filler form the shape. The resulting rust and hole had already been detrimental to the base of the a-pillar. The respray was questionable at best.

We also discovered some sweet factory scribbles that indicated the car had potentially had a tag swap at some point. Not worth the hassle. Spending more than 1000 fixing an Austin/Riley/Wolseley is 800 dollars too much.
