Brock-Lee
If someone told me that an older car had NO rust I would still expect some. Its a rule in the game we play, rust just happens

pies
How old is the esky? Vs. how long gazmin had it? Im sure its had a few repairs before young gazzy got it. Dont jump to conclusions grasshopper. Atleast you caught the rust before it became terminal.
Gaz
it had patches riverted on to the rusty hole piller to try cover it up and with a tone of crap sealer? lol Pics please. I dont belive this. I paid close to $2000 to get rust removed PLUS the $3000 to paint the car! (which also involved a tad more rust removal) Either way I had no idea of this, sucks to find but it is an old car. If I was you I would have started with another shell, what was the point of taking expensive paint off a car when it looked fine. You could have started on a new shell and still had this one as it was! Each to their own tho. um gaz, quote "It has ABSOLUTLY NO RUST as it was all taken out" but yeah it sure has rust.Few $$ also fixing As far as I knew it didnt. I didnt touch that car in the paint/prep procedure and I did believe it was 100% rust free. It was painted round 5 years ago now which is a pretty long time. When I sold it to you, over a year ago now, it had absolutly no signs of rust coming through the paint and no signs of rust anywhere else for that matter.. so, how was i supposed to know!! Sorry mate but not my fault!
cute wee gem
this is why i buy cars with original paint! never trust some other bastards work. bit gutting to hear but no blame to the seller as explained above. no one's fault except the homo who did the work. QCADTA
its shit too find rust but is an old (and english) car that is known to rust especially under there, and because of the design of the old mk1s its impossible to remove the guards to ascertain the condition underneath. thats the joy of owning an old car, full of suprises if you were expecting a hassel free daily driver for someone with limited funds i wouldve recomended a toyota corolla. just my 2c. Mk1Mad
what is 7489? He forgot to include the $ sign. Its the total bill.... Check out my mini below man. Best thing is to find a good panel and enjoy the site of it. Its annoying, but peeling off other peoples patches is a fact of life with old cars.
