peteretep
If your going all out on everything else then why not have a nice looking fuel pump setup, you know you'll regret it later when you want your boot to look mackin But in the grand scheme of things its pretty basic and you never have to worry about it again

cute wee gem
Will the stock Gemini low pressure pump be sweet as for supplying a surge tank? Is it a good idea to run the return line the same size as the supply or should I use the original 6mm(ish) supply line as a return? and I assume the carb rated line will still be sweet for parts of the return? Last but not least.. what size should I run?

Last but not least.. what size should I run? They had elctric pumps? Probably not, fuck relying on old tech like that eh. Cheap insurance bro With the return line, you'd be more than safe to use the same as supply, you're never going to get more back than what you put in With the carb rated stuff, just replace all the non metal stuff, even if it is low pressure. It's cheap as. Run same as supply for ease, but try a different colour if you can so when you're underneath, you know which is which

QCADTA
Some interesting reading.Just looking at doing the fuel system for my mk1 escort. Just wondering since its in the rear quarter well, and theres no place for the fuel to go except down to a bit of a taper, do you think i should need a surge tank or just go straight from the original tank to a high pressure pump? lowlancer
Idea is to stop surge, which will happen with low fuel and cornering hard, both which occur in racing situation/trackdays, so def go for a surge tank with the CA
Blair
Yeah it probably will but I wouldn;t want to rely on it due to age That's true, as I did buy all new stuff for my set up. Jdo you think i should need a surge tank or just go straight from the original tank to a high pressure pump? Put in a surge tank. I was getting fuel surge around town with out one when I had only 1/4 of tank of gas. The surge tank will save your motor from running lean and stuff, it worth just for that alone.
