RUNAMUCK
I think there really needs to be a full throttle stationary cooling system test, just to make sure its 100% right. Please film, and post results. 3

Roman
If you want to try some launch control stuff at the drags with just one wheelspeed sensor then I've found this can work good But probably not 4200rpm launch when it's making a shitload of power there haha. Not sure if its better to use a fuel cut instead of ign cut though. Might be harder to get a burnout going though, and that's possibly 80% of the point of drags
sheepers
that looks like a thing that might work. but you're right, burnouts might be compromised and we cant have that. 4
RUNAMUCK
Jolly good show cracking into the 12's! I'm a little surprised your MPH is so slow, for such a fast time? I've gone mid 90's in low 14's, and mid 12s at 107.
Roman
Fuck yeah! Awesome 60 foot time! Was it hooking up like that all day, or dialled it in a bit?
sheepers
that was the only pass i made with such a good launch and some actual traction through first and second. rest of the day was all 13.2, 13.4 with wheel spin at the first part of the track.

Worth getting some sticky drag slick big tyres for next time just even for science?

Roman
Look forward to seeing how that dash turns out! It's massively underrated to have a dash (and/or ECU) that can just flash "stop the car, idiot!" in your face instead of having to interpret constantly sweeping gauges while you're concentrating on barrelling down the track at way to fast o-clock. I'm still chuffed on your behalf for getting a 12, thats friggen sweet.
sheepers
yea im looking forward to seeing whats going on inside the engine as i hoon. more information is always good. unfortunately because the instructions for the aim dash are so fucking bad i put power to a pin i shouldn't have and fried something so the dash is now on its way back to aim in australia to get repaired. the information that comes from aim is so bad that i would actually recommend you buy another brand of dash if your looking. 2
cletus
I realised I was posting in your build thread, what a n00b On 21/01/2021 at 09:40, sheepers said: its been since i put the supercharger motor in. but, i also replaced the driveshaft center bearing and fucked up putting the driveshaft back together so its been wrong since new motor. now that's fixed its really not any better. a camera like yours under the car may reveal something. what do you use? the magnetic mount must be pretty full on? Just a bit of 3mm steel bolted to the camera, with 2 very grunty magnets. I assume neodymium or whatever fancy magnets are . 2
nzstato
Just re-read this...., inspiring build Was your 15deg retarded timing come from opposite polarity on the crank sensor? Same issue here
yetchh
5 hours ago, sheepers said: Turned out the vibration was tyres. I took the fronts off and chucked them on the balancer to check the balance and straight away you could see they both had big lumps in them. Weird. Because all 4 tyres did it at pretty much the same time. Fuck knows. Anyway it's fixed and here's a picture of a tyre so you've got a picture to look at. Sure it didn't have something to do with that massive chunk outta your rim?
