Glancn's 1983 Toyota Corona Wagon

Recommended Posts

WORK IN PROGRESS.

Picked it up from dilema off these forums just before Xmas in 2005 on the same day I sold my EX to Macarbe. They picked it up from a guy who worked for the AA who picked it up from a deceased estate auction I think. I got it with a standard motor, lowered on 13" Hotwires and a W55 gearbox (bonus ftw). OK boring story.

This was my daily driver but since I got given a work car its pretty much my project/weekend car for now. Still got a few things I want to do with it. After I achieve these things I plan to hold onto the car and enjoy driving the thing!

Oh yes, just cause I can.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Wheels-tyres/Alloy-wheels/auction-126691654.htm

Haven't done much lately. Chop the front springs hehe.

Thinking of repowering? The Garage Slipway is hassling me.

Your thoughts - pro's and cons:

3TGTE - easy as, straight swap, but worth the power gain?

1GGTE - not that hard either, need to make some mounts and other shit fueling etc, good power

1JZGTE - nah cbf?

2JZGE - that one with ITBs on Tardme, yeah or nah?

3SGE / Beams - OS Cunts say DO IT!#%$

or

LEAVE IT BO3 you're car is too gay anyway :(

Also

ive a wagon same shape but total difrent engine box combo and im doin the suspension in the front of mine too and ive found sum mitsi delica rear springs for the front which im cutting down as theyre the same diameter but around 6kg spring rate atleast and im puttin ae92 uprated shocks in there with a small spacer to keep the insert captive, looking good though, id go for the 3sge engine swap as ive seen a carina wagon with it done and its f%#$king sweet, ive got a 1s crossmember , 1s sump , 1s engine mounts if u want for cheap for the cnversion helps a biggie if u got everything that fits that u dnt have to customise

Haven't done much lately to the car. However I did put it into a kerb in the wet on Xmas day :opps: So need to get damaged Ferroche mag fixed sometime.

Not to mention theres a bearing wear type noise coming from the rear now. Got my mate Darrin to have a look at it. No play, but must be something catching/fucked the diff. Gonna have a decent look tomorrow.

Painted those SSR MKIII centers black. Came up good!

Replaced spark plugs, runs heaps better now!

I swear the cam and valve springs will be installed soon :)

Stuff all $$$ atm since being on ACC - bung knee so any engine conversion plans are put on hold at this stage.

WANTED:
