My name is Russell
Are it finish yet Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssselllllll?Tap, tap, tap BANG! Oops missed this Yup engine and gearbox in running MINT so happy, got her all running my myself UJ, 3 late nights in the workshop got everything lined up and tuned all by myself's, back onto mellow yellow now Yeah still killing batteries, need to get Timmy to have another look at it for me because he seemed to understand what was happening, and we chopped some wires. Its charging fine at daytime (14.4V) it just doesn't seem to at night. Will do a little test when i get home around the hills. I'm hoping!, the new tighter alternator belt makes a difference, and that it might of been slipping a little.

My name is Russell
Ok just been trying to get the alternator to do its thing this is what its doing If i turn the car on it starts at 12V then slowly climbs to 14V like by 0.02Volts every 5 seconds until it gets to about 14.2V or there abouts Turn the electric fan or headlights on and it drops straight to 12V The way i have it wired is one + wire feeding directly to the back of the alternator to to trigger the alternator to turn on and then the two wires feeding back to the battery. Iv got no idea

My name is Russell
http://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/AlternatorQuickInstallationReference.pdfDid your car originally come out with a generator? Gaz
Have you checked if the light behind dash is going/not blown? It is part of the circuit and the system wont work if it is out. The speed the bat drops voltage shows its condition. Cant member the actual test, maybe google it. Have you tried a new bat to see if that fixes anything? Both your bts might be fucked? I know mine goes for an hour with lights on and no alt. Gaz
QCADTA
charge ya battery, let it sit for at least over night, then put a load like a head lamp across it for a few minutes and then check your voltage. if its less than 12v its probably fucked.
