Guest John-o
Well Im new to oldschool.co.nz so I thought Id post my baby as way of introduction. Have taken quite a few photos over time but cant be too bothered putting up a whole montage so "befores" and "currents" will just have to do for now... Quick specs: 1978 Mitsubishi Galant Sigma 2L 4g52 sohc 5 speed man KYB shortened shocks and King Springs Rockford Fosgate 12" t2 in boot, RF 6x9s Engine has been left pretty standard as the previous owner used to run it on a 50/50 mix of petrol/diesel, so have been waiting to see whether an engine transplant would be needed, but everything seems ok so will go ahead with tuning the 4g52 n/a - for that more authentic and restored feel. Unless it dies. They buy I bought her off used her as a paddock basher, and hit a few fence posts... After a bit of panel work, and just general time, effort, and a bit of money

Guest John-o
Random rare hot calm day in the Manawatu - had a bit of free time to finish the colour sanded and primed, front valance on the grass but meh, calm as day coats of paint and put back together - tidies it up a bit i think it looks ok - fucken on now anyway so meh to the effort of changing it. Starting to blow smoke if I give it the boot, valve guides maybe on the way. Might look at a 4g63 if things get worse but effort factor+money factor atm=huge hmmmm
Guest John-o
So i put in a 4g63... was an awesome mission to palmy to get it in, going, and then drove it back down to chch. Runs well once going, just gonna have to replace the fuel pump I think. Cheers to Ogre, Nate, Jeremy, Josh and Woot for going hard to get the thing in
