still havent finished fixin the brakes yet but its driving and theres no awful scraping sounds from the rear anymore!

next up, getting all the brakes working properly by,

* fitting new front pads

* new rear shoes fitted

* new rear cylinders fitted

* possibly new slotted znoelli discs, depending on money

* full fluid flush

and after that, new crossmember and susspension consisting of,

* (at this stage) custom front and rear springs by Chamberlin Springs

* Shortened Shocks all round

* New front crossmember

* New Panhard rod (current one is bent)

* diagnosis on front sway bar issues

* replace all bushes if budget allows

well i took the bootlide round to a mates place to weld some plates in. stupid me took too much metal off and now its too thin around where i wanted to weld :(

so im faced with a couple of options.

1. attempt to find another bootlid.

2. Modify exsisting bootlid with fibreglass and add a little spoiler/lip to the end of it for shits n giggles

2. Pick up KE70 rear shocks and GT4 front inserts to get all the springs captive

3. grab new sway bar link from pick a part aswell as a couple of small interior items :D

4. start using as a daily driver while i sell the rola

Super Mega Update

Heres some pics etc that Seedy Al's Chop Shop is doing on the beast

first off was the front struts

Pulled them out, and decided, yes, they really arent captive

PC170016.jpg

Pulled out the oil strut, and compared with new insert

PC170019.jpg

Had the coice of going 50mm lower, or 100mm, 50 was all that was needed to make the spring captive, you can see how much shorter it really is

Anywa, spacers were made to fit insert, and assembly began

New BUMP STOPS!!!! too cool for school,fool

PC170023.jpg

And once all assembled, spring clearly captive now,, legal motoring for all

PC170025.jpg

(notice cut bumpstop, yeah, thats how we roll)

Pitty the other strut was far from as easy, had a dent in it where the rim had hit the struts housing, so that had to be heated up and pushed out by hammering a piece of exhasut tube down the strut housing

More fun. anyway, got them all done

Also I squared up the diff, so now when its low the diff doesnt sit to one side, very very nice

Next is the boot lid rust, have started doing a little bit, which was weld up a few little holes, and put a piece in the corner so there is something there to fold the out patches over.

Yeah, anyway, will take more pics of boot tomorrow, oh its so thrilling, Like Lost, you just cant wait till the next installment!
