Guest AE85coupe Posted September 6, 2006 Share Posted September 6, 2006 not my car, but you may like it anyway This is a few pics of mates ke30, and the build of his wicked 2tgeu to cut a long story short, a 2tgeu is a 1600 twin cam that is kinda like the 4age's old cousin haha anyway this one has been stroked with 3tgte rods and crank, and has oversized pistons as well, so its roughly 1900cc the engine has been built my flatmate damian, and its his ke30 he has spent a crap load of money on the build of this engine, and some of the mods include: lightened crank/rods, oversized pistons, stroked, knife edged crank/rods, raised compression, lightened flywheel, lightened crank pulley, basically the bottom end is as worked as it gets the head has absolutely huge cams in it (thanks to kelford cams) i'm not 100% sure of the specs, i'll post them up when i find out, but they are big enough that you can see the size of the valve pockets that had to be cut in the pictures, the amount of lift is huge, also the head has had many many many hours spent reconditioning it and porting it, all port matched and flowing like mad to top it all of he has a set of 20v quad throttle bodies, with fancy trumpets and a link computer without a doubt i've forgotten some of the other goodies engine wise anyway here are the pics Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest AE85coupe Posted September 14, 2006 Share Posted September 14, 2006 Here is a vid of it first starting, bear in mind this is before it has been tuned properly And Damian has given me a list of everything that has been done to this baby so here it is: -3tgte crank shaft (polished and knife edged) re-ground to suit bearings -3tgte rods, lightened and polished and re-sized with ARP bolts - +40 thou oversized pistons with 4mm deep valve pockets (had to be cut specially) -chrome rings -ACL race bearings -3tgte oil pump -widened and baffled sump with windage tray -lightened flywheel -lightened crank pulley -fully balanced -9 inch heavy duty hilux clutch kit -full port and polish on the head (spent roughly 20 hours doing this) -roughly 11:1 compression -radius cut valve seats -L52 race cams with 280 degree duration and 12mm lift -modified cam tunnels (to feed tappets more oil) -modified head for cam lobes to pass (way too big lobes) -competition valve springs -tuned extractors with heat wrap -custom match-ported intake manifold -silver-top 20v quad throttle bodies -nice bling bling trumpets -18rgeu injectors -modified 2tgeu fuel rail -LEM 5 Link engine management Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
