Toucan ftw, best I've used so far. is the fibreglass stuff real strong?

strong???, strong??? you wouldn't beleave it man,

its used in aussie for structual repairs, i.e:chassis rails.leave it do dry hard and you can only sand it with a grinder 8)

Toucan's good, the manufactor (K&H??) is one of the leaders, strongly recommended.

HOWEVER,if you want awesome bog:

my god. I thought the days of filling wholes with chicken mesh and bog were over :'( hope I never buy one of those cars.

oh wait, nah its 'sweet bro'

unfortunatly those types of people are still around,we refer to them as "hillbillies" or "cowboys"

... or just "panel beaters"

  • 2 weeks later...

Didn't end up doing it yet, he txt me on the Sunday and said they were still sanding and will prime it tomorrow (being monday, long weekend) and haven't heard anything since

So many people waste my time, want me to paint something, then back out.. Actually get pissed off with it, might just tell them to get fucked in the future unless they are dead serious :oops:

Will take pics if I ever get around to doing it..

Also, I know the colour I want it to be, its a ford blue, whats the best way about finding out what its called, should I ask ford for a paint number or anything special?

badass,just clearcoat that

Septone is a cheap&easy paint stripper to get.(supercheap etc)

however if your going to be using a chemical, leave it for atleast 24hr's before painting it.as it can weep out of the cracks.

sanding gets my vote.

to find "ford blue" from a dealership you generally give them a chassis number from a car painted in it.

you would use sanding over paint stripper?

I'll have to go into a ford dealership, damn falcon having like 5 different shades of blue!

go to a ford dealer find the colour car you want lift the bonet and take down the colour code. the colour charts they have in the show room only have the name and look nothing like the real thing.
