avenger79
nutech isn't water proof,it's porous + it's crap.
Chrome_GT
I've found nutech pretty good. It's an arse to sand but is good in places where normal bog just wouldn't stay. I doubt it is as porous as normal bog. For coin size holes i use nutech to bond a pice of Aluminium mesh. I then put normal bog over that. avenger79
I doubt it is as porous as normal bog it's worse, trust me. f you must use "bog" to fill holes, use a fiberglass based product, kahglass is excellent. (its made the same company who produce tucan body filler, quality)

avenger79
Toucan ftw, best I've used so far. is the fibreglass stuff real strong? strong???, strong??? you wouldn't beleave it man, its used in aussie for structual repairs, i.e:chassis rails.leave it do dry hard and you can only sand it with a grinder Toucan's good, the manufactor (K&H??) is one of the leaders, strongly recommended. HOWEVER,if you want awesome bog: it's american, fuckn excellent.

cute wee gem
Didn't end up doing it yet, he txt me on the Sunday and said they were still sanding and will prime it tomorrow (being monday, long weekend) and haven't heard anything since So many people waste my time, want me to paint something, then back out.. Actually get pissed off with it, might just tell them to get fucked in the future unless they are dead serious Will take pics if I ever get around to doing it.. peteretep
my engine bays getting there, just wondering what you guys think I should use to get into the 'hard to get' areas? Also, I know the colour I want it to be, its a ford blue, whats the best way about finding out what its called, should I ask ford for a paint number or anything special? thminiman
use a paint stripper. um, is CRC brand, in an aerosol can and use a hand wire brush... other than that, thats the positive of getting it sandblasted.
avenger79
badass, just clearcoat that Septone is a cheap&easy paint stripper to get.(supercheap etc) however if your going to be using a chemical, leave it for atleast 24hr's before painting it.as it can weep out of the cracks. sanding gets my vote. to find "ford blue" from a dealership you generally give them a chassis number from a car painted in it. peteretep
you would use sanding over paint stripper? I'll have to go into a ford dealership, damn falcon having like 5 different shades of blue!
avenger79
sanding .vs. paint stripper.....your choice yes,go into a dealership or a paint supplier(don't no any companys up there) we get chodes ringing everyday asking for "holden red" or subaru silver" etc
peteretep
we get chodes ringing everyday asking for "holden red" or subaru silver" etc haha I can imagine. + colours on computer screens are different to real life which makes it harder
