Gaz
WTF is a rajay turbo and how big is it.? RB25 or 30 would be an awsome engine. Nissan is always going to be a good choice for the fact they have awsome aftermarket support.

Burntrubber
Rajay were common in the 70's I have a book on forced induction has heaps of stuff about Rajay in it. They are still used in planes not sure if any cars use them anymore though.
Leebo3
A 302 would be a good option, they dont cost a hell of alot. I am considering putting one in the falcon at the moment, should be able to get one for around $500-600.
v3k
Having said that, putting a 302 in a falcon is alot cheaper than into a capri. The gearbox wont bolt up. You need to strengthen the body (I believe, well the Perena's were strengthened) and Im not sure if the firewall needs recessing. Decide what you want... a fast street car, or something with stupid amounts of tarmac shredding hp? If you just want a fast streeter, find the car that is about as fast as you want. Work out its hp/kg, then find an engine that will give you a similar (slightly higher ) result. Put that puppy in and presto - what you wanted. Defective
u can make a 3.9 a 4.0 by grinding off the lil ridge in the head that fukin simple as done it a few times now, if u gonna put in a 4ltr tho migbht as well make it own and xr6t it , just read up about a 1000hp street driven one (when i say street driven i mean no low rpm probs) eeeerrrr, how does that change the capacity? Hemi
are you sure there is a ridge in the combustin chamber part of head (between intake & exhuast valves) and by getting rid of that im sure it increases acapacity as there is more free space , i could be wrong tho im not a engine guru btw this is on a carbied engine
Gaz
Doesnt change how far the psitons move tho or how big the bore is so doesnt change capacity. It will drop compression more than likely. To change the capacity you can either increase/decrease the bore size by boring it and use larger/smaller pistons. Or you can increase the stroke by using 1. a differant crank or 2. longer or shorter rods.
Hemi
my mistake then sorry haha....then again the pistons were always changed couldve been higher comp?? iunno mang ill be wrong no doubt
Gaz
yeah changing pistons or taking adding to head can change compression ratio.
eke_zetec_RWD
changing rod length alone wont change displacement, just compression ratio. altho rods are usually changed when different throw cranks are used to restore cr. ie shorter throw longer rod and vv. Bandit, not to keen on the idea of a rotary engine...just dont really like them to much, reliability etc.. gonna go down to chch and talk to a few places there and see what they have to say..
