Guest matthew.hague
Will Update as I progress... first things first I want to get rid of the purple! anone know or good painters in Auckland? I want to get a good job done... Now for the cool part - BLACK WITH A YELLOW BATMAN SYMBOL ON THE BONNET!! Thought I would be different! Im also hunting round for a Sierra gearbox, if anyone can help me out ild be happy! Lastly, if anyone has a garage I could rent around the North shore, or within half an hour, that would be great. I live on a Navy base, so its hard doing anything serious to the car in the middle of a car park! Like I said, ill update as I progress. Guest matthew.hague
Still sanding, I got a belt sander. Its a bit better than my vibrating piece of shit! Looks the the guy before me had hammered in the bottom rear side of the van, and then bogged it up. thats going to take some panel beating. Ive been thinking about lead loading, ive asked about it in project disscusion.
Guest matthew.hague
I went into the shop today, $1300 for paint, $1700 for panel. Not bad, they're pretty back logged, so in wont be done until after new years. I went for dark green - a nice classic colour. My plan is to get this paint job done, get it looking presentable and then next year drop about $6000 into the body, and get it looking really good. I gon mags for it. $300 with new tyres, not bad! They are ford originals too, which is nice.
Guest matthew.hague
Finally got it back from the panel beaters! It was a long time but worth the wait. Ended up costing me $1500. Im looking at getting it painted next week if time permits!
