Ram flo's are ok, but it seems its dependent on the carb. I had one on the 4G32 and it went a bit better, then my friend got one for his XL falcon and it was terrible. I wouldn'town one again, plus, they're pretty ugly, my new one is way better looking.

K&N are about as good as you can get. They give genuine flow improvements. I've got one on our Alfa and there was a detectable improvement in performance and that wasn't just the lovely sound of the twin double barrel Delortos.

Yeah K&N. I've read to many stories on the net about ramflos type foam filters going up in flames. I have the 561030 carb. Similar to this. Sounds great at full throttle around the airport!

Think of it this way- Ramflo$90 + extinguisher $60 = $150

K&N $220 or so unless you go second hand and clean it. Spend the extra dollars and you won't risk losing your car to fire.

oh haha.

don't get me started on ramblows... argh too late

Ramflows can suck my balls. Restrictive power robbing carbon clogging fire starting carb fucking cheap nasty biggest peices of shit ever to be designed by monkeys.

concider yourself warned. Buy a K&N or if you wanna be cheap just steal some of kyteler's stockings.

If it's any help, I ran a RAM-FLO on my old VK with no problems at all and better flow that a pancake filter (mind you, it was fed through a bonnett scoop) and also ran one of the C110 when it was single carb and the only problem I had on that was the little mounting wire thing came off and the filter foam came off and started melting on the exhaust.. but I noticed in time, so it' wasn't too bad.

It's now on my Bluebird, until I get the twins for that, then it'll be sitting away in a corner until I buy another car that doesn't come with a stock air cleaner
