Infinit
To cert a car with a narrowed diff does the housing need to be welded by ticketed welder?
cletus
No. Housing can be welded by any competent welder, does not have to be qualified Axles have to be narrowed by "someone with a successful track record in narrowing axles" is the wording in the book from memory

Snorkpipe
How will that help? Pic doesn't show it very well, but there are a couple of bends there. Where it is welded to the floor is not affected though.

Transom
Would drilling 6mm holes for grease zerks/nipples to lube polybushes into pressed steel suspension arms be ok for cert ? Or is that a Nono?
cletus
Theres nothing to say you can't But thats probably because nobody has done it. All the arms that have that done are quite thick in that area (usually us made stuff) It would depend on the size and thickness of the arm as to whether you could do it to a standard pressed steel arm. Some oe arms have trouble staying in shape if you press in new bushes and the new bush moves around in the hole so I wouldn't recommend making it any weaker
Transom
Thanks it seems a common mod in merica when fitting polybushes but yeah the suspension arms are pretty thin pressed steel so I think I will avoid it
