kyteler
whats the dealio with window washers?car is an 1981 squirters are in the cowl panel/grill in front of the window i wanna remove them and the washer bottle etc to tidy things up i have a thought in my mind that if the squirters are there then they have to work but if there not then its ok for a car before 86 only problem is that theres still a mark on the indicator stalk? My Skyline hasn't had working squirters since I've had it, still has the stalk, still has the squirters, just doesn't have the tank or pump. No tank, no need for them to work, that's what my WoF guy told me.

Testament
I dont think any of my cars squirters have worked more than like on one occasion. The 124 pump didnt work, but then i dropped the pee bag on the exhaust one day anyway. But never been pulled up for it even by VTNZ.

FoNX
Just quickly checking, you need a cert for running wider wheels and bolton flares am I correct? thanks guys
durty
i would say no as long as you fit into ltsa guideline things
FoNX
just talked to my local wof station, anbd according to them, if you modify the track by more than 25mm (the track is measured from the centre to edge), and also if you modify the body in any way, ie roll guards on bolt flares on both are cert territiory. Anyone want to call them out / clarify / eat my last mint ?
durty
i have never heard of needing a cert for bolt on flares or rolled guards, pretty sure the track increase thing may be right though
Brock-Lee
I think track is indeed correct, but you dont need a cert for bolt ons
