The best way to sort those out is move the throttle body to the other side. Or start with a Super Custom/possibly just use Super Custom engine covers
cletus
Yeah was going to say that but I couldn't remember if the SC covers fit on a normal hiace, from memory the rear firewall has a bump in it that others dont as well? Theres a few advantages using a SC to start with I think

Super Custom (1KZ at least) has the same engine bay and covers as the factory 1UZ ambulance. 1
Jeffs_Emporium
I did look into whether the engine covers differ for the different engine (y series stands straight up as opposed to the slanted 5k) but part numbers are the same for both chassis. Part number does differ for floor shift vs column however so could look into that to see if it bulges higher or not.
Abarth
Is it true you can’t have a vented oil catch can? Has to be plumbed back in now?
cletus
Depends If the car has had an engine swap= have to apply emissions standard https://lvvta.org.nz/documents/standards/LVVTA_STD_Exhaust_Gas_Emissions.pdf Emissions standard requires operational PCV system in a lot of cases If the car has a modified original engine= emissions standard not required to be checked

Can I run the recirculated gases into each trumpet (somehow) or do I have to drill the manifolds?
cletus
Yeah that's a real prick to do One company that does a lot of cars with ITBs fits a pipercross filter, and puts a fitting on the back side of the filter assembly to vent into Otherwise I guess you would need to make a little manifold from all 4 intake runners into a pcv valve

I don’t necessarily have to tap into the manifold/runners?
cletus
I think if its enclosed, that's good enough. I've passed quite a few cars with that setup

The link Cletus posted on the previous page covers it pretty much - https://lvvta.org.nz/documents/standards/LVVTA_STD_Exhaust_Gas_Emissions.pdf 2.3(1) is the section to look into.
