I have chosen a rotor as close as I can find off the shelf. Would that be considered any different? The mounting bolt pcd on the rotor is unfortunately ever so slightly larger than the one on the hub. Looks like I will redrill in the space in-between. Is there a minimum distance to the edge I can have the holes? I'll get someone to make the centering ring and drill them Here's a pic
Jeffs_Emporium
Have purchased some coilovers for my Toyota that have been welded to spindles as per the rules but I dont have the supporting paperwork for crack testing. I'm i able to just get them crack tested again now?
KKtrips
Yes, but see your certifier to get an NDT form to make sure they are NDTed to the correct standard by an appropriately qualified person. Also known as an "F008 - LVVVTA Non-destructive Test Request Form"
ajg193
How much can be changed on a car with a modification declaration certificate before it would need a new LVVTA cert?
Bling
Seems a bit vague? Wiper blades? Engine?

Very little, but in service replacements only. ie: anything that could be expected to wear out. One other thing you need to remember about a declaration, it is NOT a statement of safety, all it is, is a document that confirms that a vehicle was modified at the time the declaration was issued. It says NOTHING about how safe it is or isn't.

For example, this car looks to have a lot of new stuff on it that probably would put it over the limit? https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/specialist-cars/competition-cars/auction-1964567457.htm?rsqid=00664f01e6ad40bc9d6333d92680c7ee Can't really see much of the suspension but it looks like it has quite new coilovers in the back at least
kws
Depends what the wording is on the declaration I suspect. He really should put a photo up of the declaration.
KKtrips
If that was modified to that extent at the time of the declaration then it would be covered by the declaration.
kiwi808
So I was told that you will no longer be able to build a rota van as they are no longer certable? What about converting Utes to a rotary? (my life long dream of a Rotavan ownership hinges on this...) 1

I thought it was mandatory, all vans be converted to rotary, in Hamilton.

Esky_addict
If I have a current wof, then go for a cert do I need another wof check? Only asking because local certifier likes to see a wof check sheet passed on everything except the fact that car has no cert. Not sure if this is just the way he does things or not. cletus
Wof check sheet dated within 14 days of cert inspection = certifier doesn't have to check wof items when doing a cert. 2

A wof check= $30-40 1hr of my time=$150 I often tell people it can save them money, especially if the vehicle is rough 3
M.H.
Are there any limits on how much you can increase the track of a vehicle? I want to make longer arms for a ifs 4wd that would increase the track by about 150mm over all
CorollaGT
A car that's got a LVV cert for aftermarket seats (reclinable) and rails. Also was 5 seater at time of cert. Does the cert become invalid if the car gets a MSNZ roll cage and is fitted with fixed back seats/harnesses with authority card etc?
