tortron
rolling diameter and sidewall width would be a great idea tbh (with options +/-)
RUNAMUCK
That would be a shit idea. when a tyre size goes out of production, you're fucked.......
cletus
Haven't heard anything yet Last time they updated the forms we use, they put a box for us to record the tyre sizes in, but nothing on plates yet.

Seedy Al
Im surprised it doesn't go on the plate, given you need the correct width tire for a cert..... but glad it doesn't tho lol.
Yowzer
Cert on 60 profile, change to 25, no worries
igor
Why would you even roll with a 25 profile? Might as well just brush a bit of rubberised paint onto the rims.

Carsnz123
So what's the go for registering vintage speedsters/hot rods? my '25 Chrysler is going to use the original chassis, front half of the body, front axle, suspension, and wheels. The rest is custom. 230ci flathead 6 from a 50s dodge and 3 speed trans to suit, boat tail end on the body, and probably upgraded brakes as the external band ones are shit in the wet. At what point does it go from being able to be registered as a 1925 Chrysler 70 to a Scratch built car?
cletus
Here's the info sheet regarding that. From what you have described I think it would be a dodge still http://lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosheets/LVVTA_Info_02-2013_New_SB_&_Mod_Prod_LVV_definitions.pdf

igor
Just give it a shot and see if they notice. If it is well done they probably won't.
