Import compliancing question: If I bring in something ex-USA which has been engine swapped, what is the process at this end for compliancing? hope it slips through un-noticed? or be upfront from the outset and see what mods need to be made to it to get it Low Volume complied.

Needs cert to be legit, even if it somehow sneaked thru entry cert it would more than likely be picked up at wof time, or insurance if in an accident. Looks like it has had brake mods as well.

If it was, for example, a camaro that was a 6 cyl and came in with a 350 you might get away with something like that because it's a lot more tricky to figure out what the standard engine was, and it could have had it from factory.  But a 54 truck with a v8 (which chev didnt start making till 55) , and from a different manufacturer, and more than likely some American "engineering" will be obvious to anyone that it's not factory.

It can be done, If the Id tags are changed at all its meant to go to a tsda for them to attach them, or if you end up with a mismatch of numbers ie the chassis number is no longer the same as the one on the firewall, they can note it in Landata so it's all legit.
