when simon isnt riding big cannons hes doin awesome work on things like my supra.

Went around today to pull the carpet and seats out so they dont catch fire with the welding underneath.

Wasnt expecting to see much progress in such a short space of time.

Starting to look really good, although the extra pipe work makes the turbo look really small

huge thanks to Crazy Ken for his help tonight.

Crap weather and idiots on the road didnt make it a fun trip, but i got the beast back home.

Must say i feel alot better about the car now. Im not sure if its because its getting closer to completion, or maybe distance does really make the heart grow fonder!

Anyway, thanks to Evil_si for his awesome work that he has done. Although now my engine bay isnt so easy to work in.

Looking forward to getting this show on the road.

cheers man!

starting to lose motivation again, but decided i should do something anyway.

Got the main power cable run now and with the help of Brendan i think we have the measurements sorted for the ps and oil lines.

Played around with the front lip today as well as i had started to have second thoughts about it. Now i think ill go ahead and use it. looks primo i reckon.

well motivation has picked up abit after a good weekend of work on the car. Had to miss a few things (drinks at a mates, mates kids birthday and helping someone move) but sometimes you just gotta keep on keeping on.

Another big thanks to Jimmy and "thats a strong drink Malcolm" for their time this weekend.

got pretty much most of the oil and water lines done now. just gotta finish the cold start injector line and the oil return from turbo to sump.

Went for a ride in my mates twin turbo 1uz jza80 and saw how well exhaust wrap works on stuff, so think ill be looking for a good supplier of exhaust wrap soon.

Got the new floor board made up and autodec cut out a corner of the carpet and overlocked it for the battery relocation.

So many hoses and stuff now, but yeah 1 step closer to start up.

Ordered 20l of oil as well, should hopefully do the initial run in and then first oil change.

house is far more rewarding i reckon. bought our first place about 2 and a half years ago, probably part of the reason this is taking so long

another package arrived today

2 catch cans.

1 ill use for oil catch can and the other for radiator overflow.

Both will need some modification, but they should do the trick.

Also got some exhaust wrap, going to do the exposed wastegate pipe and downpipe at this stage, although i am thinking maybe i should get another roll and do the headers as well (they are currently procoated)

Well im down in the dumps about things again.

1 fan is stuffed so i need a new one.

The battery is on its way out, so i need a new one.

7.5litres of oil in the engine and its not even in the lines, cooler or filter yet so oil changes arent going to be cheap.

Had one nasty fuel leak to start with, but got that sorted.

Some gremlins have been playing with my car and the fuel pump and starter signal latch on.

big thanks to Malcolm, Stu and Cully once again for their help. But yeah patience is really starting to wear thin.

engine bay as of 5 mins ago.

getting there...

Huge thanks to "Sir mix tape Adrian", Dangerous Jase, Cully, Aaron and Lovely lisa for their help yesterday.

Got the car running, although missing the blanking plate on the back of the head by cylinder 6 (made it sound like a lazy v8, fixed that and she was running like a subaru. Fixed injector plug number 1 and it was now firing on all 6.

Not idling very well or revving at the moment, but probably something to do with the timing and tps i think.

Made good oil pressure and exhaust note is awesome.
