hey ppl

well i gt this nice escort body wit no rust! stokd as n i wnt to take the motor out of my Mk2 escort into anotha Mk2.does anyone know how difficult it wud be for sum1 hu knws only a little bout engines? if nt then neone gt ne ideas on the price to pay sum1 2 do it?

yeah man just get a haynes manual .. i have a few others to which in my opinion are better than the haines ones but yeah apparently its a piece of piss... i am planning on taking my 1300 out and putting a 1600 in so if you do decide to do yours and your in aucks id be keen to give you a hand, i'm sure we could figure it out the books tell you exactly how to do it

Not worth paying someone else to do it, less fun too.

I went from knowing nothing about engines to know all about engines :lol:

Jump in there and have a go, aslong as you label everything as you take it out you wont have a problem.

When I took my engine out i took just the engine, then took the gearbox off afterwards. Though when we put it back in we put both the engine and gearbox in together, i think it was easier this way rather than the first, even though the manual says otherwise. But yea I took out my 1300 recently so if you have any queries feel free to ask while the infos fresh in my mind :wink:
