isnowi
Hi there, just wondering if any one has any experiance or knows anything about fitting bike carbs to a car engine? ie gsx1100 quad mikunis to a vw polo 1300, ive heard of a few of the toyota guys doing this sort of thing, was just wondering what sort of adjustments can be or need to be made on them. The engine bay is getting pretty tight as far as fitting side drafts. cheers
Guest escort_boy
i didnt even know this could be done. wat is the outcome of doing this?
isnowi
as far as i can gather , very similar to sidedrafts, only more compact, ie 1 throat/butterfly per cylinder. The RS version eb1 honda civics came with quad keihin motorcycle carbs from the factory, allowed the 1200cc engine to put out 77hp, not too shabby when you consider the stock engined model only had about 50hp. alfalfa
damn thats a good idea, cos carbs on bike are damn small, being only 1 throttlebody/cyl. The linkages could get fidly tho, thats the only obvious downside i can see now. go for it man, quad carb aint only for V8's
