lowlancer
Can someone out there chuck some tips on basic car painting, cos I'm thinkin I wanna repaint my Lancer, and I sorta know how to do it, as in i have painted a few panels and prepped a couple of times, but nothing major. Im not doing a bare metal respray, so just the basics to get a good looking job. I will practise before i jump straight into it as well Cheers! Jerm
my only advice is its fucking hard i was goign to do it but if you actually look at your car there is soooo much prep to do and you haev to be so careful about bog and shit make sure you leave each coat to dry thoroughly before putting the next one on. dig out any old repairs thet look dodge or are cracking or bubbling even a small amount cos if you paint over it it will just come straight throuugh
lowlancer
Yeah thats kinda the stuff I knew, kinda common sense huh? But yeah prep is important I can see! Cheers, I'll practise on my rusting shell of a car, ie; my everyday driver
